    Dear Colleague,
Are you teaching any classes from year 7 to 12? Would you like to meet and make professional connections with other educators teaching in Steiner secondary schools? Would you like to deepen your connection to Steiner’s powerful insights into human development as an endless source of inspiration for practical teaching? Would you like to be inspired in your subject area by networking with colleagues teaching in the same field?

In response to a growing need expressed by secondary teachers for specialised professional development, the Seminar will conduct a High School Teacher’s Intensive here in Melbourne in January 2017. It will run parallel to the Primary Class Teacher’s Intensive (often referred to as the “Glenaeon Intensive”) in Sydney.

This 5 day program will balance lectures to deepen our understanding of the “core essence” of adolescent development and the process of student learning, with practical work on curriculum development, and artistic work. We will review “traditions” of teaching in light of contemporary society in the context of the question: “What do the timeless insights into human development and our practical experiences tell us about the teaching task in the 21st century?”
